The Playroom
The Playroom at Oak Tree Counseling is a safe and therapeutic space designed with children's imagination and creativity at it's heart. Since play is a child's language, toys are a child's words in the playroom. Free to express themselves within the structure and limits of this protected space, children are able to release, regulate, and reprocess their fears, anxiety, troublesome thoughts, joy, sadness, and hopes in a contained and accepting environment.
Paired with the therapeutic relationship created with the therapist, the playroom creates a sense of empowerment, wonder, and courage that children can use as they strike out on the journey of life.
